School Uniform Requirements Years 7 - 11

• Blouse - White short sleeved or White long sleeved Marist blouse.
• Skirt - Choice of Marist navy ankle or knee length skirts, or Trouser - Marist navy trouser.
• School Blazer 
  • Blazers are optional in Years 7 - 10
  • Blazers are compulsory for Years 11 - 13
• Cardigan - Marist navy cardigan.
• Raincoat / Sport Jacket - Marist College monogrammed jacket.
• Sandals - Sandals must be black leather (genuine or synthetic), simple and have an ankle fastening. Roman sandals or black Safari sandals are ideal. Exceptions can only be made with a medical certification and the Principal’s approval. Slip-on or slides are not acceptable.
• Shoes - Plain black sturdy leather school shoes (no pumps, fashion shoes, fancy buckles or laces, Converse, Chucks or Vans type shoes).
• Socks/Stockings 
  • Plain navy Marist ankle socks if wearing closed in shoes.
  • Terms 2 and 3 (Winter) Plain navy Marist ankle or knee length socks, or plain black opaque tights. 
• Marist Sunhat - optional. No other sunhats are permitted.
• Marist Scarves - optional. No other scarf is permitted.

Physical Education and Sports Uniform Requirements 

• PE/Dance Uniform Compulsory in Years 7-13 - Marist sports shorts and sports shirt (two styles available - sleeveless and cap sleeve).
• Running Shoes are compulsory and must be worn for all physical education classes and sports training.
• Sports Uniform - Sleeveless PE shirt and school ankle length navy socks are required for most sports teams. 
• Marist tracksuit - compulsory for all students in sports teams.
• School hoodies - School hoodies may be worn with the school’s sports uniform or with casual clothing, as determined by extracurricular team or group managers. Hoodies are not to be worn as part of the formal, everyday school uniform, including travel to and from school. 

Wearing your uniform with pride

• The uniform should be clean, neat and tidy.
• All skirts must be neatly hemmed and correctly worn.
• Shoes should be clean and polished.
• Please contact the school if special shoes are necessary.
• Sandals are worn without socks.
• No puffer jackets are to be worn.
• Short skirt length should not be above the knee.
• Thermals worn under shirts must not be seen.
• Socks are to be Marist plain navy. No white socks are to be worn.
  
• The school will communicate any future changes to the Uniform Policy in writing.

Marist College encourages pride in appearance and personal grooming. The correct regulation school uniform should be worn at ALL times when students are travelling to and from the College as well as during the school day.

Marist College school hoodies are now available for order online. Hoodies are an optional uniform item for students involved in sports or extra-curricular group activities. They are not part of the compulsory school uniform. 

The school will not order on behalf of students. You can order your hoodie from Dynasty Sport: https://dynastyteamstore.co.nz/collections/marist-college.

A sample of our school hoodies including sizing options are available for students to try on in our second-hand uniform shop.

Only student’s last names will be printed on hoodies. Families with more than one child at the school may include an initial alongside the last name to distinguish between siblings.

As part of our new hoodie campaign, parents and caregivers have until 7th May for orders to be delivered to school for collection.
